What should you do if you think you’re being followed on the road? Hopefully this will never happen to you, but if it does, keep these three simple instructions in mind.
1 — Determine where the nearest police station is, and drive directly there. Don’t try to ‘lose’ your surveillant — doing so will only agitate them. Continue driving as boring as possible.
2 — Call 911 en route to the police station if you feel you’re in danger.
3 — Never confront your surveillant under any circumstances. No matter who’s following you, they’re likely to leave you alone once you arrive at the police station.
If you can safely do so, note the license plate, make, model, and color of the vehicle and a description of the driver. Then call a private investigator to run the license plate for you.
